Trenchport, AL — A chaotic and dangerous confrontation erupted Saturday morning outside a controversial Trenchport talent agency, ending in the arrest of known “Rejects” gang associate Lotus Streeter. The high-risk capture capped a violent standoff marked by vandalism, armed threats, and chemical agents.
According to police reports, Streeter, an adult Caucasian female and confirmed gang affiliate, launched a destructive attack on a Trenchport Police Department cruiser at approximately 11:42 a.m. The incident took place outside 107 Malice Street, a location already under scrutiny in several ongoing investigations linked to organized crime and illicit activity.
Witnesses described the scene as “unhinged.” Streeter, wielding a bladed baseball bat, methodically destroyed the marked department vehicle assigned to Sergeant Alejandro Gonzalez. Streeter smashed windows, slashed tires, and carved into the vehicle’s hood while shouting obscenities and demanding the release of her husband, Donta Streeter, currently incarcerated on unrelated charges.
Sergeant Gonzalez, who was conducting a field investigation nearby, confronted Streeter and issued multiple commands to cease her actions. Instead of complying, Streeter escalated the situation by brandishing a firearm, placing nearby civilians directly in harm's way and triggering a tense armed standoff.
Negotiation tactics were briefly attempted but failed. Streeter issued multiple threats and refused to surrender peacefully, using the surrounding crowd as improvised cover. To prevent further escalation and avoid lethal force, Gonzalez deployed a department-issued OC Pepper Ball Grenade, incapacitating the suspect long enough to close the distance.
After a physical struggle during which both parties suffered from chemical agent exposure symptoms such as coughing, nausea, and vomiting. Gonzalez subdued Streeter and placed her under arrest. The confrontation also resulted in minor injuries, with Streeter suffering a head injury during the takedown, and Gonzalez later diagnosed with a suspected wrist fracture.
Charges Piling Up
Streeter now faces a significant array of charges, including:
Carrying a Concealed Weapon (ACC-11-12)
Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer (ACC-10-4) — two counts
Resisting Arrest (ACC-10-17)
Reckless Endangerment (ACC-4-3)
Terrorist Threats (ACC-10-12)
Criminal Mischief (ACC-7-5)
Additional warrants issued by Chief Marcus Dawson post-detention have compounded her legal jeopardy, adding further bond costs and supplementary assault charges.
Authorities also recovered the bladed bat and handgun used during the incident, secured key surveillance footage, and are actively gathering witness statements. Body-worn camera footage captured part of the volatile confrontation, though technical delays meant partial activation.
Gang Ties and High-Risk Holding
Given Streeter’s documented affiliation with the Rejects, a Security Threat Group (STG) known for violent confrontations with law enforcement, authorities have placed her in the Special Housing Unit (SHU) at Trenchport Detention pending trial or bail review.
“This was not some isolated outburst,” one department source stated on condition of anonymity. “It’s the Rejects sending another message, and we're answering with iron doors and zero leniency.”
Streeter’s first court appearance is pending before the Trenchport Municipal Court. Meanwhile, the broader investigation into gang-linked violence around the Malice Street corridor remains active and intensifying.
